They won't understand until it's done

Visionaries are always misunderstood

The impossible is possible.

Most people don't believe that.

They live with a very narrow view of life that lacks imagination.

They don't ask too many questions and conform to whatever narrative is predominant at the moment.

If you got big dreams, you might experience people around you being skeptical of your vision.

Don't take it personal.

Most of the times, it's not that they don't want to believe in you, they can't.

They lack the ability to see a life beyond average.

And when they are able to see it, they rather be blind, because seeing beyond average would collapse their own excuses for living a subpar life.

It’s unfortunate.

I truly believe it's a societal programming that makes people this way.

Since a kid we're all at some level trained to conform by family, school and media.

That's the result.

The majority end up silencing their inner voices, burying their deepest ambitions and living with a shattered self-belief.

They don't believe in themselves, they believe in whatever they're told is realistic.

So if your vision extrapolates that? They won't get it.

You gotta realize that the skepticism you might face from your family, friends or people in general isn't unexpected. It's by design.

Once you accept this fact, you'll start looking at them with understanding and don't expect much support from those around you.

I understand we are social beings and we often feel the need of social validation to some extent.

It’s nice to get support, especially by those you love.

But you can't let this need become an excuse to let your dreams die.

Become delusional if you must, but don't outsource your self-belief.

Be your number one fan.

Everyone that was once the underdog and was doubted had to embrace this mindset to some extent.

And that's also what's fascinating and brings so much hope.

History repeats itself.

The underdog with a vision rises to the top again and again.

We’ve heard countless success stories.

Amazing stories of people turning their lives around after hitting rock bottom.

Abusive families, extreme poverty, war, violence, you name it. So many overcame it all.

If you're like me, you learn with those stories. They inspire you, give you fuel.

Someone had it worse than you out there and still made it.

What’s more inspirational than that?

You’re gonna be just fine as long as you believe in yourself.

It’s your life, design it to your standards.

Don’t depend on others to define it.

Stop explaining your vision to people who haven't earned the right to hear it.

If possible, create a circle of people who genuinely support your growth. Dreamers just like you and me.

When someone questions your path, respond with action, not arguments.

When someone laughs at your goals, let your results do the talking.

When someone calls you crazy, smile and keep building.

Trust me, it's the best you can do.

SPEAK

What's one dream you've been hiding because you're tired of explaining it to people who don't get it?

Have you ever noticed how the loudest critics are usually the ones who've never built anything themselves?

When was the last time you let someone else's doubt change your direction?

If you have any questions or comments, just reply to this or send a message on Instagram. I’d love to hear from you.

CURATION

A selection of handpicked gems.

Chris Williamson talking about the phase where no one understands, supports, or even notices your efforts. It’s the part where most people quit. But it’s also the chapter that builds unshakable self-belief.

💡Just an idea

The world doesn't owe you understanding. But you don't owe the world an explanation either. Your dreams are yours to build, not theirs to approve. Keep building in the shadows.
